Video Trivia: Control

Hey all! Here's your video trivia segment. As always, it's based on the video section-by-section, and I will try to give you context for every section. I'm going to try to make it slightly shorter and not re-tread ground or inform you about every little meme.

~~ Intro ~~

-Unlike normal, I decided to make the intro for the video first in order to set the pace and visual quality. My attempt was to make the video's editing just as involved as the intro, which is something I did not do in the past.
-You can probably tell here but in this video I made a direct effort to include significantly more sound editing than I usually do. If I could not think of anything, I would use Ed Edd and Eddy sound effects. The result to me feels more chaotic and offloads what would be visual memes to your ears.
-I think the taco bell "Bong" sound is extremely funny and as a result, used it constantly.
-Most combat footage, as a result of the gameplay, is hurling rocks. Here it isn't a problem, but you will be able to tell that all my combat footage is rock throwing.
-During the "More stoning that Saudi Arabia" joke, I show a steam account. That is the real Steam account of the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, who has spent $40,000 on Dota 2 cosmetics alone.
-I had the idea to do the music section from another YouTuber. I don't know if I will do it in the future as often, but for Control it's very worth it because of how copyright works. I was allowed to use the song "Take Control" by The Old Gods of Asgard because it was made specifically for the game, and decided to flex that.

~~ Spectacle ~~

-In my opinion, this video is over-edited. It's slightly faster than I actually want, and I think for the next video it will be slightly slower. It is very hard to resist the urge to edit at lightning speed, my perfectionism is all-encompassing. That being said, the editing for this section is very near perfect.
-I don't know why I end up referencing Skyrim in most of my videos. It's like, a universally known game.
-The part where I imitate the look and sound quality of a Windows XP computer was the literal first joke that I edited in the entire video. I edit jokes to prototype what I think would make a good video, and this was it. I intentionally did stuff like reduce framerate, add icons, and blur text to make it look like it was in a lower resolution, while also maintaining an older-looking aspect ratio.
-The line, "You can even help the disabled... Into the fucking ground." Took me maybe 12+ takes just because I could not really get down how I wanted it to sound in comparison to what else I was saying.
-The hardest part of the video to edit was the "Battlefield 4" joke, because I VERY much wanted to do it, but almost no one uploads clean, HD video of the bad Battlefield 4 campaign AI for other people to use. Overall, I didn't feel very challenged in terms of editing for parts of this video- just frustrated by source footage.

~~ The Buttons ~~

-In the "Lesson" part where I show an anime girl and a whiteboard, the whiteboard says "Why I MUST collaborate with Tsunomaki Watame" before changing.
-I regret placing the Stonetoss joke because it's a vaguely political joke. Even if I'm not saying anything political, just referencing some political stuff attracts heat, or just unsavory people.
-To do the color correction in the "Overwrite their consciousness" joke, I spent a long time, because I had to severely increase saturation until the compression caused artifacting, then had to take down every color that was too overwhelming. The result is a grey-glitchy look with lots of strange colors at the margins. This aesthetic is extremely appealing to me, but annoying, and also slaughters my GPU, since I typically layer on LOTS of color correction to glitch it out.
-I wanted to put more "enemy types" in this section of the video but just didn't care enough because they're all just dispatched by rocks anyways.
-The section where I talk about the "Astral spike" (invincible enemy) type made me regret not placing any epilepsy warnings.
-"The bad fairy" animation that I played was 100% created by me. I should not have spent so much time animating each element of it.
-The "poor damage scaling" argument that I make was exacerbated by the fact that I possesses very little to no damage mods as I played the game, since it's randomized.
-I am surprised no comments referenced the fact that, when I say the words "Chimp exhibit", I am showing footage of Harambe just before he was shot.
-When I make the "Receive more money on Christmas if it's a Tuesday" joke, I use sped up footage of a joke video called "Gnome Hyperborea" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YpL-nBFGm-g)
-If you hear the background noise of a girl yelling "Totsugeki", I did it to specifically trigger anyone in the audience who may have played Guilty Gear before. There is no other reason.
-Halfway through the review my computer died. The CPU fan broke. It was approximately after I edited together the footage of Nostalgia critic clapping quickly, I believe Doug Walker killed my PC.

~~ Story & DLC ~~

-I regret how often I say "Cosmic" in this part. It is bad writing. I just didn't notice at the time.
-On the subject of political jokes, some are so popular and well known that I'm fine with making them, or simply, cannot resist. Ben Shapiro buying a singular board of wood at Home Depot was a joke I was hellbent on making despite the consequences. The same applies with Joe Biden.
-I regret not talking about Ahti (The Janitor) more, but at this point I was growing fatigued with the video on account of all the gameplay footage being same-y.
-Editing the "story summary" part where I quickly describe the sheer amount of fetch quests in the game was the most fun to edit for me. It temporarily made me like editing the project after this point again, but then the rest was difficult.
-When speaking about the character of Dylan, it dawned on me that he looked almost exactly like Doug Walker (The Nostalgia Critic) but that I had not *written* that joke into the script, so I had to indicate it visually in a quick joke.
-I AM CURRENTLY VERY MAD AT YOUTUBE FOR ALLOWING PEOPLE TO SAMPLE MY CONTENT FOR THEIR OWN SHORTS WHILE OPTING ME INTO ALLOWING THAT IN A SMALL SETTING WITHOUT TELLING ME FOR EVERY INDIVIDUAL VIDEO
-I only mention Darling because I feel like he literally had to be. Same with the DLC. However, I didn't really want to.

~~ ASHTRAY MAZE ~~

-In my opinion, here I was too comfortable with editing, and the editing became too fast.
-Since the beginning of this video's editing, I had wanted to make a little music segment exclusively for Ashtray maze. You can see the difference in that I add almost no sound effects to this section.
-In order to create this music section for Ashtray Maze, I had to play all of Ashtray maze without the music. This entire set piece relies entirely on its music and specifically syncs your gameplay to the music. And I played with it off - twice.

Thanks to you all for your support. If I am sane, the "Behind the Scenes" video should be out for the 5 dollar people tomorrow. Although, I am trying to take breaks for my own mental health after the video is released.

This isn't trivia, this is the source code

You put so much effort into every facet of your videos, and it obviously shows. Thank you for taking your work so seriously, but also please take time for yourself
