July Progress Update!

Hey everybody, I wanted to poke my head in for a moment to give you an update on July #content and more, because next week there's gonna be a lot of it.

The big July projects were intended to be:

• Twisted Metal series retrospective/history
• A video on console Memory Cards and crossover saves
• A smaller video talking about how people don't finish video games (some of you may remember this from the poll I put out last month!)
• ...and then I also added in Rift Apart PC, since I have a Steam Deck now and I figured that would be an easy video to throw out that actually has value, vs. if I'd just reviewed it and said "it runs well on my high-end PC, I have no idea if it'll work for you though."

Rift PC was a late addition, in part because that third video I knew early enough wasn't gonna happen in July.  I've mentioned it here or there but I'm currently in the middle of moving to a new apartment, and that plus preparing for The Charity Room (which starts next Friday!) has slowed things about as much as I'd anticipated.

Twisted Metal's definitely dropping next week by 7/27 when the Twisted Metal show drops, and my plan is to drop at least a healthy chunk of it as an early preview as soon as we've got enough of it finished - ideally the whole thing.  Rift Apart, if I end up doing that as planned, will also be next week, potentially even the day before TM drops.  (I'm waiting on a better idea from the PlayStation influencer team as to when I'll have that; usually the PC games end up my way a few days before release at least, but since that releases the day before Twisted Metal show drops, ouchie.)

The Memory Card video I'm not going to anticipate I'll have done before the 30th-31st at the earliest, since the 28th-30th is the first weekend of Charity Room and I've got a decent load of commitments tied up there.  If I have some part of that showable early, you'll see it here first.

There's even more up in the air regarding August, because I'm waiting on word back from a major sponsor offer that could result in me having to fly to the Gamescom trade show/convention in Germany.  Essentially this entire summer has become one of the busiest runs of weeks in my life to date, and while that's awesome and it's full of really cool stuff, it means I'm not where I'd like to be.  

In the mean time, there are still episodes of my podcast I'll be on here and there (plus a backlog if you haven't watched/listened before!), I'll have several hours of dumb fun over at The Charity Room as well the next week or two, and then the moment that event ends, I can at last move my desk into the new apartment and finish up my new office/set!  That last part should do wonders for my productivity going forward, so the light is peeking through the tunnel.
