dr menura redesign + various sketches
Added 2022-03-06 20:21:27 +0000 UTCa bunch of sketches of various xenocon things. dr menura's design having wings And arms was bugging me, it felt too fantasy. not that making him a big bird-ass bird doesn't still feel very fantasy but it at least makes more sense to me biologically. he doesn't need hands and we don't need to worry about how his society works without them
and there's also a bunch of species swaps. it got me thinking about what sexual dimorphisms might be present in the aliens. i think in the kacatui it would be color based. the urodelian sexes are basically indistinguishable from each other, entirely based on scent and minor differences in size. i haven't named somato's species yet, but they're hermaphrodites and gender is entirely a social construct
odonata is missing because i'm still not 100% happy with her design, but i'll do a swap whenever i nail that down too
