what i WANTED to do with this originally was to go full frank frazetta, paint everything, very sexy, you know.

but i am not a painter. i am SO completely not a painter, and the attempt just looked awful. so then i overworked it with ink, and that looked awful too. then i was like 'wait i should imply the monsters on the cover, that's important' and made the second draft

but ultimately i liked the composition of the first one a lot, and went back to it, and Here We Are. still not painted, but at least it looks vintage enough for my taste

the text and illustrations are totally 100% done, but since i don't know anything about twine, a friend is going to be making that for me. hopefully we'll have it ready in a few days!
