Happy holidays, y'all, and welcome back to Thestwick-on-Alderham! As we build toward our new full borough, we figured we'd take a quick sojourn back to the fen village for a Winter one-shot extravaganza. This release has a few full new versions of the stitched maps, some certified holiday bangers, and a borough guide that gives an overview of winter in Thestwick as well as a new adventure for you to run this holiday season. Let's dive in!
Borough Guide
Our borough guide introduces you to all of the wonderful holiday traditions of our favorite fenfolks. Children go skating, men go ice fishing, and women make holiday lights out of snail shit. There's a table of winter cuisine, some beautiful art from our illustrators, and a slew of subtle changes that will help you GM winter adventures. This year is a bit different in Thestwick however, as a vicious and devious fenwyrm has come to demand sacrifices. Will your players feed the threatening dragon? Or will they be able to come to a more reasonable agreement?
Maps
We have three new versions of the full Thestwick village map. We have day and night versions of the winter solstice festivities (complete with colored lights, a bonfire, and seasonally appropriate decorations), plus a more generic snowy version for those of you who need more frosty village maps. Please note that these maps are very big, and thus you'll need to download the winter day, and solstice day maps separately. We've also created for you the most requested interior map for Thestwick: the Lowland Reclamation Corps bunkhouse! This multifloor map might come in handy as your players decide to round up the bastards and toss 'em to the dragon. All patrons at the Chief Courier tier can grab this three-floor interior map.
Music
Every year, Will dreads making Christmas music, and every year he ends up making some goddamn Christmas music anyway. "Solstice Festival" will be the theme song of your Thestwick holiday adventures. It's exactly what you want out of a swamp village Christmas tune: plucky strings, sleigh bells, and also sorts of charming chimes and whatnot. We've also got a guitar ensemble version for those of you who like a more traditional and low-key holiday vibe.
