If the price of getting the news is a bit of corporate fluff, who am I to complain?

Welcome back to Demlin, adventurers! Lots of cool goodies in this release: a great collab with Moonlight Maps (the first of many?), a beefy borough guide filled with lore about perhaps the city's most interesting megacorp, and a map with some fabulous verticality that is PERFECT for tactical combat. Let's dive in!

Borough Guide

This whole document is about Thabfar, Inc. the communication megacorp. Ostensibly, this is the company that solely makes the pneumatic messaging tubes for the city and prints the newspaper. In reality, Thabfar's archon is a spymaster, social architect, propagandist, and—potentially—Svarnahelm's soon to be prince consort. If you want to dig deep into kooky corporate conspiracies and careful politicking, this doc will give you plenty to work with.

Maps

This map is where Demlin starts to getting a bit zanier. The elevated walkways over the Trigold Loop are... well, y'know, they're canonically for pedestrian travel, but we mostly just thought they'd be super fun for tabletop antics. You might also recognize the prowlike footprint of Thabfar HQ. We were inspired by a certain Manhattan skyscraper for that one. We're releasing a bunch of variant maps for Demlin, including Sunset, Misty, Rainy, Snowy, Desert, and Skyport. This release and others featuring the district's central boulevard also include a Traffic Jam variant.

Patrons at the Chief Courier tier gain access to three floors of Thabfar's HQ. If your players are acting as spies for Lord Thabfar—or if they're just trying to disrupt his business on behalf of some other employer—you're going to want these dense interior maps.

Music

Demlin is one of the settings that we've released that is likely to see less combat and more conniving and scheming. Nevertheless, there will be intense moments in the corporate hub. Put on The Rickshaw Gambit for little skirmishes, bold chases down Liberation Boulevard, or high flying antics. Yes, it's a cheeky, cheesy little Gershwin rip-off. Yes, that's still perfect for tabletop combat. Use the Percussion variant if you want to limit how much jazz you subject your players to.

Lord Thabfar's Yacht - Collaboration with Moonlight Maps

Our pals over at Moonlight Maps were extremely generous with us. We pitched them a handful of potential Demlin collaborations they could tackle, and they said "yeah, sounds good, we'll just do all of them." Ipso faco, stay tuned for a whole bunch of Moonlight Maps content over the next few weeks! First up is Lord Thabfar's Yacht. The communication archon is engaged to the city's fleet commander, so of course he's sailing Lake Druha in fashion.
