toru redesign sketches
Added 2024-05-27 21:31:30 +0000 UTCnow that the long road is done, i've moved on to working on the toru/mrs arakawa book that i Also got edited and Also needs a lot of top down rewrites. the version now is shaping up to be very classical japanese folktale in tone, and toru's personality has been tweaked and tightened up to better fit that. i feel like i never quite "got" his design to look how i wanted consistently, so i'm trying something slightly different. i want to give him a bit more of a heroic energy, now that i've started fleshing out his backstory in that direction.
i'm also going to go back and tag all the art of him and mrs arakawa as 'the night guest' because that's the title of their book and will make it easier to find them that putting everything in the dragon double feature tag
