Haha nice one! This cover was done very early in Babymetal’s career, before they made it big in Japan. Kiba of Akiba covered Doki Doki Morning, and then Babymetal Covered this song. Babymetal was playing these small venues as well back then. And you’re absolutely right, there is an amazingly nostalgic charm about early Babymetal. The ultimate Kawaii lol. They’ve done a few covers as well! Su, Moa, and Yui have all done special covers for their early birthday shows of songs made in their birth years. White Love (Legend D): Su-metal’s cover of a song by Japanese girl group Speed. Tamashii No Rufuran (Legend 1997): Su-metal’s cover of the classic Evangelion OST, originally by Yoko Takahasho. Chokotto Love (Legend 1999): Yui’s cover of a Petitmoni song. Love Machine (Legend 1999): Moa’s cover of a Morning Musume song. And most notably: 2016 APMAs: Babymetal’s cover of Judas Priest’s Breaking the Law and Painkiller, with Rob Halford himself on stage.

Kiba of Akiba only released 1 full album and a 4 or 5 song EP and disbanded in 2018
