I hope you guys don't mind me sort of combining both suggestions into one, since they overlap in class.
As for Final Fantasy 5, amazing game, one of the most robust class systems, with such power you can make:
Double Grip + Berserker - Weregarurumon (for what purpose on one of the worst jobs?)
Equip Katana + White Mage - Terriermon (Other than FF1 nostalgia...why???)
Sing + Dancer - Foxbard (for the questionable Alluring Air, but he will play Hero's Rime when the other members start yelling for actual buffs)
X Cast + Geomancer - Blep (absolutely unnecessary, it's not worth it plus it only works for SPELLS ARGH)
(Sorry for the FF5 lingo and gush)

Man, Blue Mage was such an underrated class, bashed by how hard/cryptic it was to get the really good skills.

It's what makes 5 job Fiesta's possible! [I love Blue Mage the most though. From Level 5 Death to being able to make a late game bomb blow himself up because his gimmick is Blue Magic and he'll learn and use any you use on him]
