It turns out, mecha isn't one of my strong suits... these kinds of designs have a more rigid form so most of the time it was trying to figure out how specific areas moved.
Fahlma's character (a support unit) ended up being the main focus and also the subject to an older Megaman X aesthetic. I hope you don't mind!
In addition, I included my own little Jerrymon in there too - It's also a support droid that some may have seen in an earlier sketch with Cobalt! It's still a prototype design right now so it can only dispense very low cures and map out surroundings!

It's not too bad if there is something to reference with (in this case, the Megaman X concept arts)! Real life metal though, slightly different story!

2025-05-16 15:48:54 +0000 UTCPretty much why I like western animation on mechs, it's more simplified for fans to draw out. There are few exceptions like Samurai Pizza Cats and Astro Bot having a good simple design. MegaMan however has a mixture of both Western and Japanese design combined, also the Robot Masters and various other robots just have a theme set around them. That just makes it easy to design.
