Overall it gives good character development and makes the statement that this a show where things will grow and change and more importantly, that there will be consequences that will explored. Unfortunately, I feel like one can only truly appreciate it retroactively, and the actual plot is a little boring in my opinion. Anyway, here's my fun fact, The Master in this episode was played by David Boreanaz (Angel) instead of Mark Metcalf like all of season 1. This was done to lower costs because The Master is only shown for seconds and doesn't speak.
