Life lesson: as you get older you'll begin to realize that it's not why are men like this. and for guys why are women, but it's why are people like this. Honestly, I've found that there's just a lot of crappy people in the world, it doesn't discriminate by sex. They're just crappy in different ways. A lot of the times though they're awful because they're trying to mask their own pain. It doesn't excuse their actions but it shows that people aren't generally evil, we're just incredibly flawed.....of course there are just plain evil ones too. lol

Having the typical strong alpha male turn out to be gay was new at the time and something anti gay people hated. This show and Friends set so many firsts that now seem like stereotypes but without these shows gay characters wouldn’t be mainstream. It had to happen somewhere first and those firsts were never going to be perfect.
