“FaceApp”- My favorite photo editing app

I have weeded my way through many photo apps over the years. I try really hard to make my photos not look edited, but that can be really hard in today’s day and age. when things look edited, then you come off as fake. No one’s face is perfectly smooth. Everybody has rolls on their body… Don’t get rid of the things that make you human, that make you. If you have, freckles, you should enhance them, not get rid of them. If you have heterochromia, you should enhance it, not try to match..

This photo editing app, is one of my favourites for many reasons. Not only does it allow me to save most of my favourite tools and options… But it shows me the difference between the original photo and the photo that I edit. My goal, is to never look over edited. Everybody edits their photos… But you don’t want anyone to call you out on editing your photos.

One of my pet peeves of the “edit your own” photo craze… Is when people edit their photos till they don’t look like themselves anymore. Till they look like a porn star, instead of they’re down to earth girl next-door, Self. Or their nerdy self. You shouldn’t be adding extra lip filler, unless it looks natural. You shouldn’t be changing your eyecolor, making your waist skinnier than it is. What happens if someone orders content that’s on video… And you look completely different than your photos. You’re going to lose customers.

My advice… Find a natural edit, through this app that I’m about to share, and try to do that on every single photo no matter the photo. No matter the style… No matter the outfit. Keeping things consistent will help build a brand and an image for you. Keeping things consistent will not only help you edit your photos, faster, but will help create this brand that you’re trying so hard to cultivate.

***The App***

***FaceApp!***
in the photo attached to this post, I have shotted what my menu looks like on my photo and video folder on my phones Home page. There are a couple of apps that I will hold onto, but not use all the time. FaceApp is not one of them. I use this more often than any other photo editing app. It allows me to change my hair length and fullness, edit my make up if I’m not wearing any, smooth down, wrinkles, or cellulite to a lighter finish… this app has it all.

Whenever I’m editing, a photo set, I always start in this app first. I like to add a little thickness to my hair, maybe even a little extra curl… I will add a filter over my face that makes things look more professional, but that doesn’t cover my natural beauty… and then I will use the “enhance” part of the adjustment to make it a brighter photo. Not very often. Will I go beyond these three fixes. Especially when I’m editing, a photo set of 30 to 100 photos in one sitting. Adding more features slows me down, and makes everything 10 times longer to finish.

In my next post, I’m going to show you an example of settings I like to use on all my photos. My professional recommendation for you using this app, would be to take a look at the app and mess around with the Settings. Figure out which makeup look is best for you. Figure out if you prefer to do make up outside of the app or inside of the app. do you like your hair the way it is? Or are you looking to vamp it in a setting?

Sometimes I get too lazy to do a full face of make up. So I rely heavier on my photo editing app with my make up look. You can too! Just get a feel for the app before working on an entire photo set.

👉🏼>>>>>TIP: When editing photos… It Hass to recognize your face. If it doesn’t recognize your face, sometimes it won’t allow you to use the app. if you have a photo where you’re laying down and your face is more horizontal than vertical… I recommend rotating the picture in your camera roll before going to the app. You can always rotate it back when you’re done editing your face.

👉🏼 >>>>> Tip: after you edit a photo with this app, I highly recommend deleting the original. If you’re editing your photos properly, by not over editing… Your photos might get slightly confusing. You don’t want to continue editing your photo on another app without using the latest version. He also don’t want to bog down your phone with too many versions of the same photo. Once you’ve used FaceApp for a photo, delete the original.

👉🏼 >>>>> Tip: If you have an iPhone, there will be a photo album created from the app with all the photos you’ve ever edited in the app. So if you think you’ve missed placed a photo you can always scroll to that album. I’m not 100% sure how android phones work, it could be the same, if not try to keep yourself organized.
