6 Fan Art Challenge PT1

Attempting the 6 fanart challenge by popular suggestion! But there's only three you say? WELL... after taking basically all day Friday to get the second two panels done I realized I had bitten off more than I can chew and will have to do the other half of this next week. Look forward to it! In the mean time, I have specific commentary for the individual images-

HINATA- Hinata is, I realize, a super basic pick to do chonk art of but Hinata has such a good character design- She has a clear recognizable aesthetic and color scheme; she's cute, wholesome, and continues being cute when translated into chonk. I really like how this came out.

MONA- For those not familiar with Genshin Impact- Mona is either a very proud character who refuses to sully her fortune-telling abilities to turn a profit... or is possibly just really bad at marketing her skills.
Being perpetually strapped for cash, she claims the only meal she needs is salad (It's "cheap" and "filling"!) and anything more complex is extravagant and "dangerous." The point is... at least where I'm at with her story, it's ambiguous about whether this a genuine position or just the fabled "sour grapes." I've chosen to interpret it as the latter.

Anyway, her costume is pretty neat so I thought it would be cute to draw her plump regardless; fortunately a friend suggested this nifty little framing device and I love how it all came out. 

UNFORTUNATELY her 'neat' costume was FAR MORE COMPLICATED THAN I HAD EVER IMAGINED. What I drew is a SIMPLIFIED VERSION. HOLY COW. Now you know why I ran out of time!

ALLENBY- I love G-Gundam. I'm slowly working my way through the whole Gundam Franchise right now, but G-Gundam has a special place in my heart and one of my (many) favorite characters from the show is Allenby. She's very tomboyish and athletic so it didn't seem right to give her the fat treatment; instead I thought it would be a good excuse to (finally) show off my muscle drawings for a change. 

What's my justification? Do I need one? Oh I don't know; who knows what would have happened in a second season... Something something... Berserker System 2.0... whatever. XD
