Six Fanarts Challenge- Albedo

You wouldn't think that such a simple costume designs would be so hard, but being as I am a crazy person, I've been trying to ensure that I tailor each character's shape somewhat to their personality and preexisting body type and that takes what should have been an easy exercise and makes it... less easy. BUT ANYWAY—

Albedo-
I've watched maybe... 3? 5? Episodes of Overlord back when it came out? I got to the point where there was something about a giant Hamster. I stopped watching not because I didn't like it but because my buddy I was watching it with fell off and I just never got back to it yet.

I do like Albedo's design, though I gotta say I find the reasons Albedo is as obsessed as she is with Ains to be a little bit creepy? That said, since Ains really doesn't seem to care it does kind of take the wind out of it. XD

Thank you! :D Yeah, between trying to get her build right and then affix her costume with the random frills while *also* trying to mimic something resembling her usual art style... hoo boy! Honestly I have no good reason to have not gone back and watched more Overlord, (other than getting strongly invested in other stuff) that sounds interesting so I probably ought to at some point. Hopefully that wasn't too big of spoilers! XD but even if it is, I'm not especially worried about it since it didn't *seem* like the kind of series where I'd be so invested that would be a problem.

I am most definitely in the same boat with regard to Albedo's blatant brainwashing. However, interestingly, that seems it was the author's intention. I haven't seen all of the anime either, however, I have read the novels. To be clear, they are not exactly excellently composed stories of a ground-breaking nature, and they wouldn't be books that I would necessarily recommend at a book club. But, for what they are in a well-worn genre, they are humorously self-aware and do a good of taking you for a walk in the shoes of the big-baddy. Therein, it is made quite clear that she basically becomes an antagonist to Ainz on account of her seeing through his performance and manipulating him into trusting her. Whether it be because she thinks she knows best and must protect him from his own shortcomings, namely his loyalty to his friends from the real world, or because she is understandably maniacally traumatized by having her personality rewritten. I thought it was a refreshing and well-foreshadowed turn of events. And, I can definitely understand how uncommon costume designs are deceptively tricky XD You did well!
