Winner of the April Max Poll! Sorry she's a week late, but you all know the reasons. Thanks as always to everyone participating in the Polls and every one of my patrons that made this possible.

Apparently that Chozo blood is good for gains. XD

I was a big fan of the Metroid Prime Trilogy. Though I never finished Prime III, Prime 1 and 2 inspired some of the greatest sense of place and wonder that I've ever felt exploring an alien world in a game. (As I say this, I realize I may need to try to get a Switch II in a couple years to play the remakes)

That said, Other M came as a big disappointment to me when it released. Is it as bad as people said at the time? Probably not... but I had my own laundry list of complaints; both with the narrative and gameplay, and it fundamentally changed who Samus was for me in a way that, at the time, I didn't like and I've never really revisited to unpack.

Anyway, I guess my inner Metroid fanboy must still have some sway since I actually ended up putting in a little more work on this image than I'd planned. That said, I'm glad I did; I'm pretty proud of how this came out.
