Timed Exclusives and "Mastercard Is Stupid"
Added 2023-05-13 20:41:57 +0000 UTCForgot to mention since it was late, but having looked over the poll responses I have decided to offset my releases for Patreon and Deviantart by a week, starting today. Thank you all for responding to the poll!
I've also finally received the notice that I need to 'confirm my identity' in order to continue receiving payouts through patreon.
This is all because Patreon has to work with Mastercard and MC now requires proof that anyone handling 'adult content' is over 18 in spite of the fact that you can't even apply for a credit card if you're under 18. (IMO, if Mommy and Daddy give you a credit card when you're underage and you use it on porn that's THEIR fault, but I guess logic isn't good enough.) ANYWAY-
This is only an issue because I set this page to be 18+ when I started out. I wasn't actually sure if 'big girls doing big girl things' would be considered saucy fetish content under Patreon's extremely vague adult content guidelines so wanted to play it safe; jump forward to now and I'm not super hype about uploading my state Id to some third party company, even one Patreon claims is 'reputable.'
I have the option to set my content descriptor to "all ages" but there are definitely dangers in that approach as well (Those vague guidelines again) Anyway, I'm thinking on what I want to do. Either way I don't foresee an interruption in service, but I still wanted to let you all know since it could effect things in the future.
