An Announcement Regarding Future Genshin Art

Hello one and all! Since we just got done with a fun Genshin pic and I may be doing another to fulfill an honorable mention this week, I Just wanted to make an announcement to explain some things about my current position on doing Genshin Fan Art going forward.

I'm sure you've noticed that I have not been producing Genshin drawings as I once did. Sadly, this comes down to my love for the game waning somewhat over the course of 2023.

I still enjoy playing enough that I don't wish to quit just yet, but a mounting list of ongoing concerns that Mihoyo (a company that made approximately 5.6 billion dollars last year; 1.2 billion of which was from Genshin) don't seem interested in acknowledging or addressing has reduced my ability to enjoy the game's overall experience.

Now, don't worry, this does not mean that I'm going to stop drawing Genshin all together or swear it off in some melodramatic fashion. I welcome the request of characters for the monthly Patreon polls, and I fully intend to finish the Mondstadt and Liyue character images and stories that I already mapped out.

What it does mean, however, is that I will not be prioritizing or actively planning drawings to coincide with new banner releases going forward.

I'm simply not invested enough in the game right now to do Genshin Plus at the level I did in years past and I'm not confident enough that Mihoyo has the better interests of the broader player base at heart to want to really endorse or recommend the game to new players at this time.

If Mihoyo addresses some of the outstanding issues with characters, banners, weapons, end game, etc, I will gladly reverse my opinion. But until some larger changes are made, I'm afraid I'll be keeping Genshin art on the back burner, to be done at my convenience and not sooner.

TLDR: Please request Genshin characters you want to see on the polls, particularly if they're from Fontaine, otherwise I don't know when I'll get around to them. ^-^;
