Scarcely visible even to you, the idea of an interloper spying the enchanted portal seems impossible. Approaching, you step through, and find yourself transported into a demiplane specifically crafted to be a home and place of rest for you and your party. Gone are the cramped bunks and dubious security of the Secure Shelters they'd provided previously.
The dining area awaits with a feast ready to fill your bellies. Unseen butlers flit about, prepared to cater to any whim, and even a small garden in the center of the building fitted with a tree growing up through to the second floor, where you'll find quarters appointed to suit your needs and a view down to the dining room below. A comfortable place to rest and recover from the exhaustion of adventures...
Well, the Wizard in my game finally learned Magnificent Mansion so of course, I had to create a map that suited this recurring location. They've already spent 2 sessions inside it interrogating a swordfish, so I don't feel like my effort was wasted. Hopefully any other DMs out there unfortunate enough to have let the Wizard hit level 15 will find it similarly useful, and enjoy the much expanded legroom compared to Secure Shelter.
