June Suggestion Box~!

Hey guys! It's that time again; time for a fresh crop of prompts to doodle in between working on this month's comics and comms! I've been itching to color some stuff lately, so I'm gonna use some of these for practice 💕

In the comments below, please feel free to leave an idea for a sketch to be drawn later. Feel free to repeat prompts you've previously requested if you'd like, and if a prompt gets a lot of likes I will consider it extra hard.

Suggestions that include my own OCs or interests are more likely to get sketched than anything (I'm so sorry, I don't have OC reference sheets yet, but I'm slowly gathering them!! They won't all be big and elaborate like Blue's, but I WILL eventually get them. You can see some of my OC galleries here). Please don't be upset if I don't pick your suggestion to draw, I'm only human, as much as I'd love to draw every prompt I can usually only get to 3 - 6 of them. I generally get more out of shorter prompts, where I have plenty of room for interpretation.

Thanks in advance everyone! 🥰

I can't lie, it's a total struggle with social media, I often have to take breaks to keep myself mentally healthy 😅 my partner Caye also does a lot of my social media posting for me, which is a huge help. And it's still a balancing game all the time! I use a lot of different methods to keep myself drawing consistently, I'd say the most important are (1) sticking to a loose schedule and giving myself a clear start and stop point to drawing for the day (2) having a priority list of all the specific artwork I want to work on so I'm not floundering going "what should I draw" (3) not ONLY looking at other people's art on social media; also looking at older art, traditional paintings, walking in the forest, reading books, etc. Even though my work is all porn I still draw inspiration from many different sources and I find my mind becomes really "stale" in the imagery I can picture when I've recently looked only at art on social media. I guess, I think of it like making sure my creative brain has lots of food! This is a long rambly reply, but I hope it helps c:

Oh my goodness! >:0 I admire that so much. I appreciate you sharing your art and working so hard at it too. It's sobering to hear this. I'm currently struggling to reach 30 hours a week. May I ask you a personal question? (you totally don't have to answer) How do you mentally handle it? Especially with social media and external pressures. I've had the roughest time mentally and I'm striving to do something like you are. I'm working my way up to. |D Thank you for taking the time to reply. <3

It really depends! I work between 4-7 days a week drawing, and each work day I'll do anywhere from 2-15 hours, though my partner tries not to let me draw too long in one day. I'd say my average is about 40ish-60ish hours a week? It also depends on deadlines, when my comic deadline is coming up I'll spend longer!

You probably get this question a lot but how many hours do you spend drawing a week? :0c
