i am so pleased to see you feel what myself and others have felt about this show. just 2 comments in the ship the samurai picked up a cannon ball when you asked what it was and you called the heir a girl but he is a boy haha no biggie but i can see it was an easy mistake. but to give you a little insight about the samurai. they had so much power in their own lands over their people that they could literally hack a peasant to pieces for no reason at all other than to test how sharp their sword is. the positions of power are very strong. and im so excited to see more as this is truly a fantastic show. you were right about how much emotion it can cause and be prepared .

What a nice surprise! I loved the book and the original mini-series made in 1980. I wonder if they can top that? Yep, they topped it. You just have a lot to learn about traditional Japanese culture. Not really laws at this time, just traditions that must be followed. It's like a web that everyone is caught in. Everyone knows their place and what is expected of them. No exceptions. Your apology for stepping out of your place is your life. This takes place in 1600 which was only 12 years after a Spanish fleet tried to invade England and burn it to the ground. The hostility between Protestant England and the Catholic Kingdoms, especially Spain, was intense and violent.
