When you pause around 4minutes in and wonder whether you're stupid, you're not. I didn't see anything romantic here either, honestly I still don't. What's shown might as well be manipulation, romantic play with the intent to advance in other areas. If yes, that would be a pretty interesting plot device. If not, maybe they used it to show her insecurity, she's in so many relationships because of her fears of ending up alone. Or maybe I just can't see it because I'm straight. Or maybe this has no plot point at all, it's used for the sake of being used, which is the worst scenario honestly. People usually do that to attract people to a story that lacks quality in other areas and to hide said fact. But so far this series seems pretty epic, the art team carries it... I wouldn't say this is the case.
