Hello there Inna, so the one major thing this show gets very wrong is how they represent Radiation in regards to how it interacts with person to person. In reality, she was completely safe to be near her husband. They could even kiss. See once radiation is washed off of you, you are decontaminated, nobody around you is at risk of exposure, even you wouldnt be at risk of more exposure as long as you are away from the source. In reality, the tarp is there to keep HIM safe from her and other people, as his immune system no longer functioned. This show however made it a point that "radiation spreads like a disease if close enough" when it does in fact not. The real Lyudmilla Ignatenko was even suing HBO for inaccurate representing her as the show makes it a point that she is being careless about her child when that isnt what happened. In real life, nobody told her about the affects of radiation, nor knew its affects, yet the the show makes it a point that she is choosing to be careless with he baby.

I also love the attention to details. As you know I have visited eastern Europe in the 80s and what I see now in these series: buildings, clothing, furniture ... and behaviour ... is what I remember from back then.
