Please Read - New Comic Release Date - PB Hiatus

Hello Patreons!!! I have an update for you with some exciting news, and some not so exciting, but probably expected news. I'll start from the beginning, and I'll try and keep this short and contained. 

Somewhat over a year ago I started to lose interest in Periwinkle Blue. The comic had been ongoing for about 3 years then, and was a bit plateaued across my platforms. I didn't think a whole lot of it at the time, and I kept up with updates as I sought out different ways to fulfil my creative drive. It wasn't that I didn't think PB was a good comic, or that I didn't love Drew and Luca, but it was definitely drying up for me. 

Last year, out of a serious need to do something different, I decided to write Honorable Discharge, and this fulfilled me more than I expected! I know that over a span of about six months or so, I started to become even less involved with PB and interacting with my webcomic platforms (Webtoons/Tapas). During this time I went through a sudden breakup, moved into my first apartment alone, and then suffered the loss of that apartment and all my belongings burning down in a wildfire. 

Needless to say it was a hard year. 2020 fucked everyone, but it especially fucked me.

I don't know how much of my ability to keep moving forward with PB is based on the things that happened to me last year, or just my own personal lack of interest, but for now it feels inevitable. The last six months in particular have been extremely hard for me to keep up with pages (I've tried everything to stay motivated) and I think you all know this. I think you all have been able to tell by the attentiveness and even quality of the comic itself. It shouldn't come as a surprise to you that I want to put it on indefinite hiatus. 

I did a poll a few weeks ago asking if you guys would prefer me to work on PB more closely, or focus on getting this new comic out to you, and it was about 50/50. I was actually surprised at the time, that that many of you were still as into PB. I understand you want to see it through to the end, and I am sorry to disappoint in not being able to. Believe me, when I started PB four years ago I never expected this to happen. But I was barely 21 then, and now I'm 25... what can I say? Life changes. Goals change.

I don't know if I will pick up where I left off with PB eventually, or decide to write the ending separately for you to read, or even re-write the comic as a novel entirely (much later down the road). The future of it is rocky, as is my relationship with it now. All I can do is apologize and promise to offer you new content soon.

I understand this kind of throws a wrench in how my patreon operates, but I don't intend to leave you guys hanging. Here's the more exciting news--

The Leg Less Traveled will officially start here on March 24th. I am planning on weekly updates every Wednesday, and you guys will likely be four updates ahead of when I start posting the comic publicly on Webtoons/Tapas (April 21st). The updates should be a little lengthier than you are used to, and I think you will enjoy the rolling-style A LOT compared to what I've done in the past. 

I also want to announce that I have a panel editor/assistant for this comic! This is not something I've ever had before, and so far its helping me tremendously. Their name is Rowdy (Say hi to Rowdy!) and you might see them poking around from time to time, or joining livestreams when I do them. They deserve all your love, trust me. 

So, (since I am stopping PB a month before starting TLLT) I wanted to go over some of the things you will get here in the meantime. It might be a little dry, but bear with me--

-Character Bios for TLLT cast

-The usual WIPS and or sneak peaks

-Potential requests??? I'm not sure if I will have time for A LOT of this, but since you have all been so patient and understanding with me, I will probably let you request some sketches, and then have you guys vote on them for me to draw. These don't have to be limited to my own characters-- you'll be able to suggest whatever you want. 

-Stickers in the mail for my 10$ and 20$ pledges. I will be sending the exclusive nsfw postcard out as normal next month, but I think I will include some extra stickers this time as a thank you. If not stickers, then a secondary post-card. 

Its going to be a very busy next month for me, as I crack down on getting this comic launched and promoting it, but I am going to do my very best to be an engaging artist for you. I cant thank you enough for all your support, especially those of you who have stuck around with me in the long-term. I simply, don't know what I would do without you (probably not make comics LOL).
