SORRY ITS ANOTHER FLASHBACK BECAUSE THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LUCA AND COMMANDER NOVA IS VERY IMPORTANT OKAY.

This page holds a lot of secrets that I want to point out --

The "Human Research program" is what Luca wanted to be a part of more than anything (he still wants this!) This is a team of Bastil who take extended trips to Earth to learn about humans and write down their observations. They're explorers, scientist, bookkeepers, and very very very important to the Bastil society. They never harm humans, they never abduct humans.

However to be a part of this program, genetically they have to LOOK more human. That means less markings or markings that are easier to hide. Their skin tones and hair color need to be more "human" looking. Luca is close to being able to pass for a human, but definitely not good enough for the Research Program.

This crushed him as a child. Which brings me to my next point-- Commander KNEW that Luca would get turned down in the program, but who would he be to stop Luca from trying? It should be noted, that Commander Nova was willing to encourage and support Luca in everything he does, even if he himself didnt agree with it. AKA A GOOD DAD :')
