Omg THANK YOU. I'm literally so happy that you recognize the symbolism here because I really wanted that to happen. Each panel is a little bit of a reflection of the characters-- Drew looking down into the water and cleaning. It's like he is scrubbing away the negative and confusing feelings he has for Luca. And Commander is fixing Luca's injury-- which is kind of like the first step into the next portion of this story. First hurdle down. More hurdles to come.... the food in the last panel-- another small peace offering. This time with candy. Drew's giving that to Luca not because he needs it, but because it's something sweet and maybe Drew wants to actually be nice now. This whole page is the changing of the tides :) thanks for connecting the dots ;)
