Can you feel the shifting in the story lately? New plot coming in... things starting to unfold. *rubs my grubby little hands together* Rowdy and I fucking love these characters-- we hope you do too!-- and yes indeed they serve more of a purpose than just "musicians in New Orleans" or "Judas' friends". <3 Take Jaxsen for example. His purpose is to be a delicious, southern *beau*~ (Love a character that gets hotter every time I draw him)
Of course I had to bring Mama back into the scene too... it was just too good an opportunity to pass up. Can you tell that Judas' friends have probably done this a dozen times? Like... I imagine Mama's house was a revolving door of naughty adolescents for a while. How many times do you think each of them has been threatened with the frying pan?

2022-11-11 05:52:21 +0000 UTCIt sounds like your mom is an absolutely wonderful mom then 🥰 it's hard to be the kind of person who takes others in and loves kids who aren't their own. My mom was the polar opposite (not necessarily a bad mom, just a very very introverted one) she never wanted people coming over and she didn't really like me going to hang out with friends either. Until I was about 16 and started driving, she didn't let me or my brothers do much at all to socialize. So when I draw things like this ^^^^ Judas family and friends ^^^ its definitely healing my inner child in a way!

You are correct about Mama's house being a safe space for all of them growing up. Those are her babies too-- even though they're not blood. Judas is quite lucky to have such a good krewe <3

Dear lord, child, all the no on that… I suppose I’m more familiar with woodwind than brass so I’m just imagining a disgusting reed. 😂 (I played clarinet for all of like a year in Jr High lol) No, no, brass has spit-valves if I recall. I’m not sure if that’s better or worse to envision. 😵💫

Like, not just hang out with no one home, but break in apparently. 🤣 Oh man, I out loud said, “Oh, *Marleigh*” when she called him. 😂 I adore her. Judas might strangle her. 😆 I love the feeling of these folks and just how comfortable they apparently are with Judas’ family. I’ve got friends who are invited to every family holiday, but even that doesn’t quite reach this level, and I adore it. Also love that they’re gonna go to Cali to spy on Judas. 😂😂😂
