And we've made it to the rodeo!!!! It's about damn time, isn't it?
It's funny, I struggled a lot with putting this update together, but in the end I think it turned out very bright and colorful and a great introduction to the next few scenes of the comic. We have a little bit of perspective from Dick and Priscilla-- and we can tell that they're actually caring towards their friend when they want to be. It doesn't excuse their behavior towards leaving Fletch behind... but I think it's good to see all the sides.
And of course we get a little tension between Fletch and Kinley too... those lingering looks are becoming less angry, more sad. I wonder who will try to make amends first?
Panel #3 should be familiar to those of you who read a lot of BL webcomics! ;) A nice little cameo from Redmari's comic "Spurs & Stripes". The characters are Kim and Kylee and, yes indeed I did ask Red before drawing them in! If anyone hasn't read "Spurs & Stripes" I highly recommend it! It's sort of THE country/cowboy BL comic of its time. No one else has done Texas/ranch-life in webcomic form like her before.
:) I hope my Texas chapter stands out in his own way, and only gets better from here! We've got a lotta ground to cover y'all. Hang on.
