2022-01-06 03:56:51 +0000 UTCThanks Jay ๐ my hesitancy was around the fact that my own personal experience is so far outside the trans experience that finding the correct, specific language might be difficult. Especially because I'm not really interested in doing an asinine, bland 'you're beautiful just the way you are' type audio... like much of my work, I'd want it to have a bit more edge. But I think if it's approached with compassion and good faith, everything will be okay. I hadn't thought about a they/them version, I guess because most of my work is gender neutral anyway. But my main concern would be that (as far as I can tell) the range of possibilities covered by the label of NB is much broader than that of trans people, which could make it difficult. Like, NB could be a very androgynous intersex person who feels out of place in their body, but it can also be someone who is biologically female, presents 100% as female, dresses in pink, loves Hello Kitty, feels at home in their body but also feels a stronger connection to their masculine side than others might guess. The challenge when writing gender-neutral audio is about being specific enough to make the listener feel they're being addressed personally, but vague enough that no one's going to be excluded. That could possibly be even harder with an NB audio, where I'd need to be both broader but also more specific in some ways. But I'm writing this off the top of my head, I've never thought it before, so maybe I'm wrong. I could probably come up with something, but I wouldn't do it unless I felt I could do it justice. If you have any thoughts on this, please help me out. My intentions are pure but I'm also a huge dumbass.

I'm curious if you had thought about doing a version of the audio with they/them pronouns for the non-binary/enby Trans individuals along with the Trans guys and Trans girl versions? I have to admit it was interesting hearing your hesitance when you mentioned the idea but totally understand not wanting to stomp on toes at the same time. If having an American Trans' POV would help make it any easier, feel free to ask me anything and I'll answer the best I can. Your audios have already helped me a lot in feeling seen in my accurate gender. I am so greatful that you label the M4A/M4M/M4F properly on your videos. Other roleplay aren't as accurate and it can be severely jarring if not worse. Thank you so much for the care and attention you put into your creations. It makes me all the more excited to hear your Trans specific audio. โฅ๏ธ

I think the start of the month is probably always the best, whether it's monthly or annual. Presumably it would run until the end of Jan next year, regardless of what day this month you signed up. Although I haven't actually thought about it before, and I'm terrible with numbers!

2022-01-03 09:35:11 +0000 UTCI'm not afraid of heights but when you're 40 feet up and the instructor is telling you to 'let go of the wall and just lean back' so the safety rope can automatically lower you down... suddenly it gets very nerve-racking! Especially when the day begins with signing a legal document saying 'I understand that I could be killed doing this and I accept the risks' ๐๐ I've heard the clone wars series is good but I've not watched it. I've been watching all the marvel TV series lately, I wouldn't say I LOVE any of them, but they're all fun, in their own ways.
