YouTube Situation Update 📺

I woke up yesterday morning to an email saying my account was terminated. I appealed it. I tweeted. I hit up the YouTube community forums. I spent the entire day planning an entirely new strategy for my operation. New tiers, new benefits, new ways of structuring and releasing content.
Twelve hours later I get another email saying they're reversing the decision.
Channel restorations can take up to a week to fully take effect, and in some cases, they don't actually end up happening at all. So I'll be managing my expectations carefully, until I can see the channel is active again.
But this whole episode is not something I care to repeat, and it's shown me just how vulnerable creators can be when YouTube is the central pillar of your operation. It's something we all hear about, but going through the process for real definitely drives it home. YouTube are a nightmare to deal with.
So I'll be restructuring anyway. The outcome will probably be that Patreon will get much more exclusive content for the same price, and I'll spread my other efforts more evenly across Twitter, YouTube and Reddit. I'll probably delete half my work off YouTube. It's all still under consideration and I'll make a big update about it at the start of March.
Right now I'm going away for the weekend but first, I'd just like to thank you all for your support. I absolutely LOVE having supporters who are so kind and gracious. I can't thank you all enough.

Youtube is known for doing this kind of treachery so I'm not that surprised. But at least is back. Now, focus on your vacation, have a sweet time with your family, we'll be here always.

And while YouTube has the farthest reach in courting new subscribers with the intention of becoming new patrons, it is only a Starting Off Point. For many, it’s the Tipping Point; making that decision to listen to something naughty/taboo. And then, a Revelation when they finally become a Patron. [I think it took me three months??]. I’ve learned so much about myself through your work. I hope YouTube can continue to be a window for those searching and seeking. Another hard won lesson learned, Champ 🙌 🥊.

I wanted more and more of your voice and creative storylines 😘 Perhaps creating audios as 'patreon previews' and concluding the fun spicy portions here might help avoid YouTube's arbitrary rules.
