Happy holidays!

This month's update will be a little different. We actually have two things to talk about...

Remember the Flowers

Editing continues on... and is making good progress! Our editor, Zangusuu, wanted to let you all know that. He recently had a move that took a couple of weeks to take care of, so work has been slow as a result. Fortunately, he's now settled into his new home and has continued work on Remember the Flowers.

In the mean time, I've been doing maintenance on the visual novel. Recompressing most of the art and music assets to save on file size... which is shockingly a lot more work than I thought it would be.

As promised last month, please take a look at a new CG from its_madcap! This will be retroactively placed into Chapter 2.

We hope to continue backfilling older chapters with CGs...

For everyone wondering, our current goal for Chapter 18's release is early 2026. Please stay tuned!

Under Contract

Hello everyone!

It’s been a little while since I’ve written something like this. I want to apologize for the lack of updates from myself. 2025 has been a bit of a doozy, but I’m trying to push forward regardless.

Speaking of… I have something to finally show off.

This was teased a while ago on social media, but for the month of November I got inspired to try my own personal game jam challenge and even get back to my roots. The working name for this next project is Under Contract and I’m expecting to get this demo released before the end of the year. I was intending to have it done before Midwest Furfest but… oops, it got bigger than I expected.

The art has been in development for a while now and is still a work-in-progress. However, I felt the need to get my creative juices flowing after a long while. Remember the Flowers is still our main project, but because of how far along the story and overall development has gotten, we have a level of standard we try to meet for each update.

This includes extra time writing, editing, programming, and so on. My personal goal for Under Contract is to release updates in between my personal downtime for Remember the Flowers. I’m going to be programming and writing it for the time being, like I used to way back when (with some help ofc ty Orion xoxo) and being edited by Zangusuu here and there.

I still want it to be a worthwhile read and have a level of polish, but also have that creative itch I wanted to scratch.

There will be more information related to the project once the demo has been finished. I’m excited for you to meet these new characters!

As Jericho said, Under Contract is a side project we've been developing loosely in the background for a couple of years now. The ultimate goal is to be able to release builds of it in our downtime once we finally reach active development. As it is now, it's still in early development.

The upcoming demo will serve as a proof-of-concept for the visual novel, but likely won't reflect the official release. This includes the artwork used, namely the sprites. Those will be placeholders for the time being.

To clarify for the future, Remember the Flowers will remain priority among the two projects. Under Contract shouldn't impede development on our main project.
