Away For a Bit

So, as most of you know, I'm an American who lives abroad because I made the unfortunate mistake of marrying a wonderful German woman a couple of years back, which means my old life is in North America, and my new one is in Europe. While I love my wife very much, there are many complications related to being an expat.

The language, the visa... The taxes alone... man, I could vent for a page about that, but I will spare you.

Today, though, I will be taking a flight to the USA for a couple of weeks to attend to a bunch of personal business that has stacked up in the last year or so. I have a car I need to sell (Special thanks to my father for letting me park it at his house all this time. He's the best!) because I'm tired of paying insurance on it when it's sitting there, etc.

It's more business than pleasure, but I will get to see family and a friend or two, so it's hard to complain. I will also get to eat Mexican food again, and honestly, after a year, that's probably worth it all by itself.

Fortunately, I have planned ahead. I have sufficient backlog, and have scheduled all the chapters that will occur for the next couple of weeks. So, the only difference all of you should see is that I will be around less in the comments for a little while. I will still check in on Patreon every couple days, but if you DM me, please expect a delay.

Hopefully when this is done, my life will be just a little simpler. Thank you for your understanding and support!
