He's Back...
Added 2025-10-17 19:19:16 +0000 UTCHello everyone, at long last, I returned home this past weekend. I spent a few days in bed recovering from the jet lag, but now things are pretty much back to normal. While I was in America I overindulged in Mexican food, saw some family and friends, did a lot of packing, shipped a 1,000lb pallet of stuff to Germany (mostly books, clothes, board games, and other sundries), and then I tore apart my van so I could sell it (RIP). It was a busy three weeks.

I've been living in Germany so far with what I brought here in suitcases 2 years ago. However, once upon a time, when I completed my first move back when I was still in the Navy, all my stuff fit in the back of my old Ford Ranger, and I'm not sending a lot more than that now.
While I am still waiting for the pallet to arrive, everything else is done. It was an expensive necessity, but soon all my things will soon be in one place, and my life is somewhat simpler as a result. It is not easy to be from one country and move to another to be with the one you love, but here we are.
I've started writing again (thank god for backlog) and going through the comments it seems like people really enjoyed the chapters I had queued up to go. That was great to see.
My trip consisted of 30 hours of flying and 50 hours of driving, so I did a lot of reading and audiobook listening. I listened to the first 2 books of Cradle, and I also started Scholomance and Mother of Learning on audiobook. I also read pieces of half a dozen web novels that had been recommended to me over the last year which garnered more than a few interesting ideas, and a couple sci-fi books that strongly tempted me to write something in that vein.
On that note, I always welcome book recommendations. There are so many things I would have never found without discord recommendations from all of you, so please, keep 'em coming.
Finally, the last thing I wanted to point out was that Tenebroum's last audiobook is now available. I don't shill often, but if anyone was waiting for it, now's your chance to pick it up and finish the set.
Book 1 (and audio) available here.
Book 2 (and audio) available here.
Book 3 (and audio) available here.
Book 4 (and audio) available here.
Book 5 (and audio) available here.

It has an audiobook free on youtube? I had no idea. Now I have to try it. Got a link?

2025-10-19 11:29:07 +0000 UTCI'm not sure if you've read or heard of it, but Worm by Wildbow is probably my favorite book ever, and I've read a lot of books. It's a very, VERY deeply built world, with incredibly in-depth characters, and the most realistic and believable superpowers system I've ever seen. It's a large book, comparable or even bigger than Mother of Learning, but it does have an audiobook presence on YouTube. Totally free web serial, I literally stop strangers on the street to recommend it lol
