Merry Christmas
Added 2025-12-25 15:00:18 +0000 UTCMerry Christmas everyone!
What a year 2025 was. Mine was pretty hectic, but I hope everyone had a great day and a good year.
While I already handed out my presents to you in the form of bonus chapters, as we wrap up, I would like to thank all of you for reading, and for your support, both monetary and emotional. My life is slowly growing less complicated.
I had some setback in 2025. Looking for a cheaper apartment in Germany was a bust for a variety of, mostly cultural reasons. My Amazon launch for Tenebroum sadly didn't do as well as I would have hoped either, but the audiobook came out amazing so, I can't complain.
I also had some wins. I was able to move my belongings to Germany, sell my American vehicle, and get several steps toward simplifying my life, and of course, my wife's health was much better this year than last year, and she hasn't had any more seizures in a long time. I also sold a few short stories. Most of those were only for like $20, but it's still nice to get my stuff in circulation. I can't become an author of timeless author without a few haunting tales floating around out there. Who knows, maybe one day one of them will become a movie.
Looking toward 2026 I have a few things I'm focused on.
Finishing my Bachelors Degree (6 more classes to go!)
Finishing my Edit/Rewrite of Letter of the Law. I haven't updated all of you on this in a while. The first book is basically done, only, I have to go back and add some moments that were skipped by the time jumps. There are a couple of jarring gaps that exist now that were fine before because I used one even in the past or the future to imply something similar in the opposite timeline. That truck no longer works, and its complicating things.
Starting my rewrite of Death After Death. I have no idea when I will try to put this out in paperback, but I'll let you know.
The only book I'm sure I want to try to get out into the wider world this year is Brewing Bad. It needs a good edit, of course, but I don't want to continue the story until I've polished up its current form. To that end, I'm looking for a great cover artist for the trilogy if anyone knows someone.
I'd also really like to get a collection of short stories out into the world in 2026 as they are stacking up. While I do plan to sell this on Amazon, I also plan to give it away to patrons for free as a token of my undying appreciation. Hopefully that arrives soon enough that I can't consider it a Christmas present for next year, but we will see. I offer no timeline.
As far as timelines, I do have a few guesses. I think that The Bloodstained Blade will reach its conclusion for Patrons in the spring. Death After Death is harder. If I had to guess, I would say it ends in 2027. I don't have an exact chapter count until the end, but from an events' perspective we're halfway, and from a floors' perspective we've still got 2/3s of the way to go.
As far as new projects? I have some ideas, and even some drafts available to read on Discord for those that are interested. I've probably written 50,000 words across 4 possible stories, but none of them quite grab me. So I'm looking for more patron input. I plan on having a vote on a few premises in the near future. I'll post a poll here when the time comes; I won't be launching anything new until Bloodstained Blade is finished, or nearly so anyway.

Doing some shorts set in existing worlds would be an amazing idea. Golemancer would be so ripe for that. A lot of my shorts are just cool ideas I had at random, like twilight zone episodes.

2025-12-25 18:50:09 +0000 UTCAmazing journey so far I’ve enjoyed reading your stories immensely and can’t wait to see what else you come up with! Any chance you’ll do a short story set in some of your previous works or to test the waters for if you want to make a larger story in another world? Wish you a merry Christmas!
