Edging the ATF

Social credit will be awarded to whoever can tell me what each line references in regard to ATF regulations.

[Verse]
Is it really a cannon if you make it by hand?
Stuck at a bench casting bronze in the sand
Edging the ATF, but am I crossing the line when I'm
Lost in the loopholes that control what is mine.
Walking the tightrope above the abyss
Is it rebellion or but one simple wish?

[Chorus]
(Six, teen, point, oh)
Just a little short for me
(Six, teen, point, oh)
Who decides these boundaries
(It's, touch, and, go)
But two hundred’s all I need
(And, if, I'm, wrong)
You can say goodbye to me.

So very weird

Charli

I'm not that tactical; I just eat crayons.

Charli

My God you really are e-girl Tacticool Girlfriend.

Also hand cranked Gatling Guns are not machine guns and thus legal to own. But put a motor on that same gun's crank and it is now an illegal machine gun. The ATF is weird.

Elijah

Black powder firearms and cannons are not classified as firearms by the ATF. In fact you can order complete kits of blunderbusses and pirate pistols straight to your door without having to pass a background check or get the gun shipped to an FFL.

Elijah

As long as the propellant and the thing being fired are not one piece, you can fire whatever you want from your "replica" cannon.

Robert

If I make a cannon by hand, it is 100% going to fire something.

Charli

Not a long as it doesn't fire fixed munitions, which most cannons I know of did not Edit: the malicious compliance part of my brain is so happy right now

Robert

It could also fall under the category of "destructive devices." Thus the name of the song. I think it's about making a short-barreled cannon. 🤭

Charli

I love the cannon regulation, call it a replica and they can't do shit about it. Edit: down the rabbit hole I go.

Robert

Edging the ATF is such a fire title.

Charli

Correct! Look them up ^_^

Charli

I don't know my ATF regulations, but what I do know is that the lyrics are fire, and the ATF can't regulate that

Robert

16.0 is a reference to the length for a SBR I think. The others I'd have to look up.
