I've been feeling really inspired for the past week. Despite having written The World Is Smiling On Me months ago, I produced it in the span of two days - and (this is the crazy part) was really happy with the result! I'm almost never pleased with my own works, and this one came out exactly how I wanted it to.

I've never written songs without assuming a character before. In that sense, I do not write from the heart. So it felt special. On Saturday evening I came home from a trip and wrote another song like that, then spent the whole Sunday on production. It's still in a very rough state, but I'll probably finish that one soon as well: it's cleaner, but has a similar psychodelic style.

It's so interesting to write as yourself. I haven't felt like this since I started the channel, back when I was able to put out songs every other week. I don't care if people don't like the things I make now, because I haven't felt this much love for music in years.
