Starship Excelsior, out by Triton

I wanted to draw some quick personal art/vent art. My first passion is space and SciFi, so... I drew a spacecraft that would make an appearance in Horizon's Edge. At least it's part of the canon.   A few years before The Cataclysm, Aztlan National Space Division (ANSD), along with an international cooperation with other space agencies, pooled together their resources and built a space station.   At first, it was going to be an O'neill cylinder style ten miles long/two miles wide high orbit habitat to house at least 5,000 workers and their families. The interior of the station would have an earth-like environment, with a town, farms, parks and other commercial/scientific uses.

After the MERVAS Technocracy became public, it was invited to join the project. MERVAS' tech helped with building an orbital elevator near the equator, which expedited the construction of the "Excelsior" space station. Knowing the type of tech and engineering that MERVAS could bring to the project, ANSD, NASA, ESA, and other space agencies changed the purpose of the station and repurposed it into a spacecraft. It used an Orion Nuclear Pulse (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Orion_(nuclear_propulsion) )  engine compartment, as well as adding a front shield to protect the craft from micro-meteors. A magnetic field generator to protect the ship from interstellar radiation, as well as radiation from its own engines, was also implemented.

 A year before the war, Excelsior was launched, first to Jupiter as an expedition to explore the moons. A few days before the war, arriving in Neptune's orbit, the Excelsior received a message to not return to Kinta (our canon's equivalent to Earth) due to an extinction level event (The Cataclysm), and to proceed to Procyon-Alpha, a star system eight light years away, to rebuild and reestablish the human/synth races on Procyon-Alpha B (Planet Aurora).
