Public Announcement — Taking the Discord Server Public

Due to recent events and the current uncertainty surrounding Twitter's stability and longevity, I've decided to take the Discord public.
When I originally launched the private, supporters-only Discord alongside my Patreon page, my intent was to reward supporters with "a little something extra" while also avoiding the headaches that come with having a public Discord server (e.g., spam and scam bots, random people wandering in and causing issues, etc.).
However, in light of the recent turmoil going on with Twitter, I've been re-evaluating my decision, and I've decided that the potential headaches are worth it. I want anyone who enjoys my content to have options for keeping in touch and following my work. Taking my Discord public improves accessibility to my works and gives followers an extra option for engaging with my content. Additionally, regardless of what the future for Twitter holds, I feel this is best option for my continued growth as a content creator. The doubt over Twitter's future has been an eye-opening moment about the dangers of having your public engagement with followers limited to a single platform.
As for the "little something extra," while the Discord itself will now be public, supporters on Patreon will still enjoy supporter-only roles granted to them via Patreon integration with Discord! These roles unlock access to supporter-only channels that contain exclusive content, as an additional "thank you" for your support :)
In closing, I hope this is the right step forward in continuing to grow and build a community around my content. I look forward to sharing my Blender journey with you all <3
