Patreon devlog update 6: dream a little dream of me

so , back from the break and back to zap and andy: get outta hell. I don't have anything naughty for this update, i've been working mostly on the location the boys will dream-visit while under the guidance of the shaman and the influence from the mushrooms of hell : Andy's most valued memory. 

this is one of the last days andy remembers spending with zap before he moved to hell with his dad and he still holds on to it very dearly. Heaven was kind of different back then, it was the days of the old testament and  God was less about love and peace and chilling out and more about wrath and smiting the enemy sinners, so more like the earth's fifties rather than the sixties.

if you pay attention you'll see the background is VERY similar structurally to the motel, and this is because things between the real world and the dream overlap here, so what you do in the waking world will influence what happens in the memory. The russian satellite crashed in Andy's backyard for example corresponds to Gary the car, so to allow the little rain river to flow freely the boys will have to ask gary to move, so its dream counterpart will also be in another place.

of course i couldn't resist putting andy's and zap's stoned ass faces in the clouds , representing the fact this is all half a lucid dream  and half a waking vision.

another thing players will encounter here for the first time is the culprit of all this dream shenanigans, Dab the dream demon.

the boys will find him in the memory wondering where the dreamer of this place could be

as zap and andy enter consciounsly in the dream/memory, dab will realize that something is afoot and will decide to retreat in his own dream realm, a place of power where he can be safe, and that is connected to each of the dream realms of the people he is controlling during their sleepwalking.

as he leaves through the tear he created in andy's memory , andy's memories of the day will start flowing freely again, and a young version of him , zap and andy's old dog will appear in front of the door /tear, blocking the boys from following dab back in his lair. Zap and andy will have to find a way to make the memory progress until the end of the day, when teen andy and zap will part ways , freeing the porch and allowing their adult selves to access dab's lair.

anyways, sorry for the lack of nasty bits, but i'll make it up for that on sunday, don't worry! X3
