Probably a bit paranoid. Ariana is used to being the clear good guy, the xenos are oppressive slave owners, they need to go, human polities that refuse to submit... they have done nothing bad, it is harder to kill someone that looks like you do in a war that is a bit foreign to your struggle.

I get she is usually killing filthy Xenos, and these are Human traitors so she might be inexperienced in dealing with heretics (although technically they should be Heathens). But she also has already been exposed to the warp corruption and now she's balking at purgings...or am I just being Paranoid because I expect the worst of Warhammer?
