Bonus Art - Monster Girl Quest Failed

Hiya everyone! I hope you're doing well!

In this month's bonus art, we find our brave hero Mattluka traveling together with his lamia companion, Lucille Fateburn, as he embarks on a grand quest to defeat the evil Monster Lord! Though...being as unprepared as he is, he appears to have run into quite the sticky hurdle in his grand journey already. Not that it's any of Lucille's business to interfere with such a noble endeavour. No, she instead seems quite content lounge in the shade and snack on one of the many natural delicacies that are so abundant in these lands.

Surely young Mattluka will be able to overcome this obstacle on his own--or he'll never grow as an adventurer! I wonder what other exciting adventures lie in wait for these two?

...Wait--is this right? Something feels a bit off here... Is this really how the story went? Ah, well.

But yeah, in all seriousness I hope you enjoy this special illustration for this month, brought to you by Mogucho again!

In case it wasn't quite obvious, this piece can be considered a sort of homage to Monster Girl Quest--one of the first monster girl visual novels I ever played, long, long ago--which eventually inspired me to take a crack at making my own similar sort of adventure game. And well, several years later and here we are! And since Mogucho is a gigantic fan of Monster Girl Quest themselves, I felt it was only appropriate we worked together on some kind of MGQ piece! And so the idea of a fun little cross-over piece came to mind, with each of the characters donning the gear of their MGQ equivalent. With Matt dressing as Luka, Lucille dressing as Alice, and Jilly dressing as...well, Jilly. Not much alteration needed to be done there, haha.

The more perceptive among you might notice that Lucille's Alice outfit is a little tweaked in places, with some colours being changed here and there--this was done to compliment Lucille's own colour scheme a bit better, such as the body markings being made to follow the shade of her lovely lips, and the gem on her neck being made to match her own eyes, and so on! Just little touches here and there from the artist--but they all helped to really bring this piece to life!

Again, I hope you all enjoy this special piece--and who knows, maybe I could do more MGQ inspired stuff in the future? Any special requests in that area? Maybe a Granberia Ruby? : P
