Pro tip for any DMs out there, it's kind of shitty to tell your players that you put no effort into preparing for the game because it doesn't matter to you, just don't run the game.

Didn't knew you play D&D, that's cool! I'm a DM too and it sounds that the guy is really casual. Nothing wrong with that, but saying that before a session is like seeing a ''This episode is bad'' screen when you watch a series. Hope the future games got better.
