Spartan Hoplite - First WIP Draft
Added 2022-05-10 12:02:51 +0000 UTCIn the past week I just try to sculpt and model as much as I can and put together everything for a rough draft of this guy to avoid the blank page syndrome 😅, from this I can further do improvement and adding more details on his model.
With image references from Final Fantasy character and Greek sculpture, I mixed both of these style for his body and face shape. Also I did use scan model from 3D scan store to speed up the progress for face textures too!
Hair and beard is still in first pass and I will add more layer to these soon. I like old Noctis hairstyle from FF15 so trying to make a similar version. Had to learn Ornatrix again with the help from this guide to make beard cards 😩

2022-05-10 13:40:40 +0000 UTCNot the hairstyle I would have picked for a Spartan man, but even so, it does look cool, even if in a much more modern way. I'd say his nipples look a bit small though? I like how you managed to stylised the facial structure of classical sculptures, and that he's not hulk-ishly muscular either (save that for Orc Marauder!) Excited to see how this develops! :)
