Great reaction guys! These episodes are great! The back and forth between Light and L just keeps getting more intense. But Light’s plan to bury the death note was brilliant! Death Note is really great, it definitely keeps you on the edge. I’m glad you guys are enjoying it, can’t wait for you guys to watch the rest of Death Note. Much love guys!

2025-08-17 23:05:35 +0000 UTCThat's so true! You can really feel how perturbed, almost panicked he is when he seems to loose control of the situation after Misa enters the scenes and later gets arrested. We needed that sort of plot twist, to get Light out of his comfort zone.

2025-08-12 23:00:37 +0000 UTCThe plot just keeps thickening! Adding Misa into the mix really skyrockets the tension due to her impulsive personality. She’s like a perfectly crafted monkey-wrench in all of Light’s planning, & I’m so here for it! A character like Light needs that unpredictability that comes from other people getting involved, that uncontrollable variable. Which in Light’s case becomes Misa, an outside variable that wants to become entangled in his “cause”. Light is so controlling that even when he manipulates Misa, watching him struggle to get that full control he desires adds more dimension to the cat&mouse-chase of the story.

I always knew that that kind of interrogation is illegal, so I have to remind myself it's an anime. And even so, I'm not sure why, but Misa being restrained like that for so long...I really felt for her this time.

2025-08-12 16:02:14 +0000 UTCWhen Light in the cell said "I'll get rid of it", he meant the Death Note, not his pride. Ryuk knew that when Light said those words, that’s exactly what he meant. If you remember, the other Death Note is buried in the forest, and Light tells Ryuk that whenever he says “Get rid of it,” regardless of the context, it will be the signal that he’s relinquishing ownership of that Death Note as well. As a result, he lost his memory of the DN, therefore he is not lying when he says he's not Kira. Genius!
