But you guys are progressing through the arc way faster than I thought you would so that’s good. Also I couldn’t comment last week because I wasn’t here and that’s when the certain episode that I wanted to comment dropped on Patreon bbbuuuttt you guys know me with my certain gripes about one piece. And my gripe with this arc is that I didn’t wanna see arc where a straw hat had to leave the crew. I feel like it was enough in enies lobby/water 7. So the fact that we had another straw hat break up really ruined my liking for this arc. I can elaborate more in my next comment on the next video since this comment is already long and you have a lot of comments to get through already

2025-09-15 23:29:08 +0000 UTCI'm gonna play devil's advocate and say big mom is not as bad as people make her out to be. think about it, after fishman island, luffy decides to eat her compensation (candies) to a land she agreed to protect then luffy decides to claim it and picks a fight with her. of course she had to retaliate against the straw hat pirates. ok now image an enemy is in your territory, wouldn't you want to protect your territory. I'm not saying big mom is an angel but she has the right to defend herself.

I’m joining the whole community whose comments I’ve read, and it seems they’re just as happy as I am. I also really like how you’ve organized the video, with the main image at the top and the fact that it’s no longer transparent. It was the second episode. I loved it. But the most beautiful thing is to come back from work and watch some One Piece with you guys. I missed that a lot 🥹!

I was shocked, scared, and honestly heartbroken. The idea of Sanji getting married (WHAT???) and giving up the adventure and his crew—while Luffy kept fighting through the crowd for him, with thunder and lightning splitting the scenes yet connecting their contrasting emotions—was devastating and sad. I couldn’t accept the thought of Sanji marrying, even just liking someone seriously. Just thinking about it broke my heart. At the same time, I was scared, because Oda always loved running the gag of Sanji’s simping, he loves it so much and having so much fun that sometimes even trolling him with it—but was he really going to take it that far? Maybe it was part denial, part genuine analysis, but I couldn’t believe Oda would change the crew’s dynamic so drastically. Sanji has always been the lovesick fool—stupid, chivalrous, silly, and gag-worthy to the point it sometimes hurts his image—but Oda never crossed the line. Sanji never did anything truly out-of-bounds or disgraceful. That’s why I was afraid: how would his character dynamic change if he suddenly had a wife by his side? Would it damage him even more if he continued simping while married? I don't want that… That’s what I remember thinking back then… LOL

2025-09-15 16:44:15 +0000 UTCso happy to hear you guys are adding another day of one piece, makes me the happiest :)) also nami’s lightning attack at the end, as they mentioned big mom is always accompanied by weather elements, that actually works in nami’s favour because what she did at the end to get rid of all those chess piece soldiers wasn’t using her own power but her weather staff. she basically borrowed big mom’s power in a way and used the thunderclouds that big mom created in the sky (Zeus) to redirect lightning down onto the soldiers and wipe them out. as a sidenote, I feel like match-ups can matter in the one piece world, for instance, take luffy for example, it took him forever to beat cracker because luffy’s fighting style is all about attacking dead-on and the durability of his fruit and using his haki. Now, take robin for example, she could probably end the fight much quicker by just spawning hands on cracker and cracking him from top to bottom (clutch!). or even jimbei, since he uses water attacks, taking cracker down wouldn’t be so hard for him either. so yeah, match-ups really do matter in one piece! Even if we don’t get to see the match-ups we want to see, it’s always fun to imagine in a tough battle scenario, who’d be a better counter for a tough opponent that we’ve come across that could beat whatever enemy fast and easy.

It was published much earlier (1986) and laid a lot of groundwork for the genre. The “big 3” are Naruto, One Piece & Bleach. The term refers to their popularity and dominance during Shonen Jump's "Golden Age" (the mid-2000s).
