Present day, Harriet Ward was just a working class mother until that fatal day in her life when she tried to avoid a drunk driver in her car. Crashing into the safety barrier, her car plunged off a cliff and into nearby river. She was trapped, alone in the dark as the car sank into the icy water. Frightened at first, but something miraculous happened, deep within her a power exploded from her body. Using her new founded powers she was able to escape her car and get to safety. Keeping her identity a secret to protect her family, Harriet's life is changed forever.
