I very much like the altered Kaguya concept you've made, but I'll vote to keep the original and all it's baggage solely because I'd be interested to see how you handle it, considering I can't think of a single naruto story ever where the author actually engaged with that stuff. Ultimately though, I think the best story you can write is the one you want to write, so whatever you prefer, go with it.
