HOLY. ACTUAL. SHIT. I just woke up, scrolling the feeds, and BAM. 

THIS. Everywhere. Herald, PHO front page, even some national tickers are picking it up. 

Thomas Calvert. Some smarmy PRT consultant guy? Apparently, he’s COIL. Mastermind villain COIL. 

And it gets WORSE. Leaks saying he KIDNAPPED Mayor Christner’s niece, Dinah Alcott (remember when she went missing a few weeks back?? Thought that was a quiet ransom thing). Allegedly had her drugged up in one of his bunkers.

Okay, let’s break this down.

• PRT Staffer = Coil. Huge if true. The consultant angle likely gave him unparalleled access.

• Dinah Alcott. If she was his captive, what was his goal? Leverage over the Mayor? Or does she have… other uses? (Trying not to speculate too wildly here). The “drugged” part is horrifying.

• The LEAK. Who did this? And why now? This isn’t just some random hack. This is targeted, coordinated. Someone wanted Coil outed, and outed HARD. This feels like another villain taking out a rival, not a hero operation. Heroes don’t usually drop oppo research like this on a Tuesday morning.

This city, man. We just had Eidolon show up, supposedly to calm things down after Hookwolf went on his rampage and Gallant died. Now this. Eidolon must be having a field day, or a massive headache.

Hold on, people. “Allegedly.” “Unconfirmed reports.” Yes, it looks bad. Very bad. But let’s not convict the man on PHO based on a data dump from an “anonymous informant.” That’s how witch hunts start. 

The Dinah Alcott situation is deeply concerning, and if true, demands justice. But the rest? Coil’s been a boogeyman for years. Attributing every shadowy misdeed to him, and now to this Calvert guy, is easy. 

Let the PRT investigate. Let them present actual evidence.

This isn’t just a case of one bad apple, this is the whole damn orchard being rotten. The PRT can’t investigate itself. This needs federal oversight. Or maybe no oversight at all. Maybe it’s time citizens took matters into their own hands. 

Empire did more to keep the docks safe from ABB than the PRT ever did. Just saying.

With all due respect, ‘Skeptic’, when there’s this much smoke, and it’s coming from INSIDE THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, you don’t wait to see if it’s just a burnt steak. The sheer volume of data leaked, across so many platforms simultaneously… that’s not some amateur job. That’s someone with serious capabilities and a serious agenda. And the PRT’s silence so far is deafening. They usually have a damage control statement out within minutes for something this big. They’re scrambling. Because they know how bad this looks.

► VistaIsMyWaifu Honestly, at this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if Coil was secretly running the entire ABB and E88 as a complex false flag operation while also being Director Costa-Brown’s secret twin. This city has broken my ability to be surprised.

The situation with Dinah Alcott is sickening. If these allegations are proven, Thomas Calvert deserves the fullest extent of the law, and then some. As for the broader implications regarding PRT security and internal affairs, this is a catastrophic failure. 

I have often had my disagreements with PRT methodology, but I always assumed a baseline level of integrity within their consultant vetting process. This apparent betrayal from within is deeply troubling for all independent heroes like myself who rely on some measure of cooperation with the PRT. I will be monitoring the situation closely. The priority remains the safety of Brockton Bay’s citizens.

Mole? This wasn't a mole, this was the goddamn QUEEN ANT. Calvert was PRT. Consultant means he had access to EVERYTHING. Think about it. Endbringer attack patterns. Protectorate deployment schedules. WARD IDENTITIES. He could have been feeding it all to his villain network for years. And who leaked it? Has to be another part of the conspiracy. Maybe Calvert got too greedy, or another shadowy group decided he was a liability. This is bigger than Coil. This is the Illuminati. This is them CLEANING HOUSE. Appreciate you weighing in. At least some heroes in this country still seem to have their heads on straight. This whole Calvert/Coil thing… it’s not just a PRT failure, it’s a betrayal. He had access. He was at meetings. He probably shook hands with the Mayor while knowing his people had the man’s niece locked up somewhere drugged up. Makes my skin crawl. And that video of Armsmaster taking him down on the highway? The dumbass was making a run for it. Good. Hope they throw the book at him. Multiple books. A whole damn library.

The details about Dinah Alcott are just… I can’t even. Drugged? For weeks? What kind of monster does that to a child? I don’t care if he’s Coil or Calvert or King Bloody Kong, that’s unforgivable. And if he was PRT, that means my tax dollars were paying his salary while he did it. I feel sick. What are the chances she gets actual help? Or will this just be swept under the rug after the trial?

Let’s not jump to conclusions about the PRT’s complicity. Calvert, if guilty, was clearly a master manipulator, a sociopath capable of deceiving everyone around him for years. This isn't necessarily indicative of systemic corruption, but rather the successful infiltration by a singularly cunning individual. The PRT ENE, under Director Piggot, has always been rigorous. It’s a tragedy they were deceived, but now that he’s exposed, they will ensure justice is served. Armsmaster’s quick apprehension proves their commitment. We need to support our institutions in times like these, not tear them down with baseless accusations.

Coil, or Calvert, or whatever he calls himself, didn’t operate in a vacuum. Someone knew. Someone always knows. And Armsmaster apprehending him? That’s his job. He gets a cookie for doing his job after one of their own top consultants turns out to be a supervillain running a child torture dungeon? Please. The fact that this leak had to come from an “anonymous informant” tells you everything about the PRT’s ability to police itself. They didn’t catch him. Someone else did their work for them and gift-wrapped him.

Some forum was saying Coil’s entire merc operation just got an email saying their contracts are void ‘cuz the money’s gone, and there’s a BOUNTY on Coil from some “new boss.” Probably bullshit, but if true? LOL. This guy didn’t just get outed, he got curb-stomped overnight by someone with serious skills and serious cash. Who has that kind of pull?

Wouldn’t surprise me. This city eats its own. If Calvert was Coil, he made enemies. Lots of them. Maybe one of them finally got the upper hand. Still doesn’t explain how he got so high up in the PRT. Or how long they were going to let him get away with it if this leak hadn’t happened. Remember that whole lighthouse fiasco? And Lung before that? And Hookwolf is still playing hide-and-seek despite a Kill Order and Eidolon himself being in town? The PRT’s track record lately isn’t exactly inspiring confidence. This Calvert thing is just the rotten cherry on a shit sundae.

Also, to the dumbasses who keep bringing up E88, HOOKWOLF IS ONE OF THEIR MEMBERS. Just because his organisation disowned him to save their hides doesn’t make them good. I reckon it makes them even worse.

The Armsmaster takedown was efficient, I’ll grant. But Calvert should never have made it to his vehicle. If the PRT had even a hint he was compromised before the public leak (and they damn well should have, if their internal security has any teeth), he should have been apprehended at his residence. Letting him get into a potential vehicle chase situation? Amateur hour. Risk of collateral damage. Risk of him having a secondary escape plan. The fact that Armsmaster had to intercept him on a highway suggests a reactive response, not a proactive one. They were caught flat-footed by the leak, same as everyone else.

How many other missing persons cases in this city have his fingerprints on them? This is terrifying. Is Eidolon even going to address this? Timestamps on some of those internal Coil memos are years old. This wasn’t a recent development. Calvert, if he is Coil, has been playing this game for a long, long time. The sheer volume of data released simultaneously across dozens of platforms points to a highly sophisticated actor. Not your average vigilante hacker. This was professional. A cape possibly… Thinker. The question isn't just who leaked it, but what's their endgame? Destabilizing the PRT? Taking over Coil's territory? Purely altruistic exposure of a monster? The latter seems least likely given the context and execution.

• Gallant’s death & Hookwolf’s Kill Order – PRT resources stretched, public trust damaged.

• Eidolon arrives – ostensibly to stabilize, but also draws massive media attention, potentially providing cover or a distraction.

• Coil/Calvert unmasked – a massive internal blow to PRT, further eroding trust and consuming their investigative resources.
