I didn't see where the writers were going with the first part of the episode and this entire resume of all L's investigations. Except for the fact that it shows how much everything was pointing at Light being Kirra. The second half of the episode was more interesting : so we had a burial for Wattari and L, but they just know the name of the first one. No one checked his name on the Death Note ?

I would like to say that Light won this episode, with L being officially dead and him beginning to create his world. With a lot of people dying, people being afraid of him and others cheering for what he's doing. Kirra is at the top and Light also, by being into the police now, replacing L, having his own apartment, with Misa that he can control as he wants to have the Death Note. But this end… L is alive and blond, that's it, that's my theory.
