THE LEGEND OF KORRA 4X04 EXTENDED REACTION

EXTENDED REACTION PART, FOUR EPISODES OF ADVANCE, NO ADDS

Hello !

Again, so sorry for the lights during this episode, this winter sun is giving me a hard time to plan my schedule. New episode with Toph teaching Korra how to open her eyes and not just focus on herself and think bigger. Yes, I said it during my bingewatching, Amon was denouncing a real issue with people not being treated equally depending if they are benders or not, Unalaq wanted to release the Spirits and make them free, like Zaheer wanted people to be free because he wanted to denounce these dictatures...

"Restore balance in the world", it's not only fighting villains who want to destroy it, it's also making sure that people are safe and well treated. And the situation in Earth Kingdom was never fair. I'm not gonna talk about the fact that they left without Toph, because she's gonna be back in new episodes, reunited with her old friends, maybe even Iroh. I can't accept less.

I'm still french, so I'm still sorry if my english hurts you.

I definitely agree with you, though that, if anything, Toph needs to make up with her daughters!!

This is one of my favorite episodes of the entire show. All of the beginning episodes of this season, which I love in their own right, leading to a great (semi-) resolution in this episode. I especially love that the Airbender kids are the ones who are sent after Korra. Their "mission" feels the most like AtLA (especially the S1/early S2 episodes) of anything else in Korra, and its great to revisit that type of story for awhile. I also like how they're able to explore the kids' personalities more, now that they're all older. Three years is a long time at that age... I don't think any of them are exactly like Aang, but they all sort of share different aspects of his personality. And I'm really glad that Ikki got to have her moments - she hasn't had a lot of those throughout the rest of the show. And then their reunion with Korra... One of my favorite scenes of the show! The Air Kids and Korra obviously have such a strong connection with each other, that's sometimes easy to forgot because she hasn't spent as much time with them since Book 1. And of course, Toph helping Korra to face the fears of her past. The episodes towards the end of seasons go so fast, its easy to forget how much terrible stuff has happened to Korra, I'm so glad that they decided to tackle the more mental side of her recovery in this season. When first watching, I was afraid that they would leave it here, and just sort of attribute it to the remaining "bits of metal" that had been left inside her the past three years and not address the emotional/mental aspect of it any further. Since I don't know how far ahead you are, I won't spoil anything, but I'll just say that I wasn't disappointed!

I wouldn’t mind an entire series of our old guys just introducing their kids and grandkids to each other 😊
